I just bought a product that you can cange vhs's into DVDs, and you can edit
them. But to be able to hear it and record it with sound, you need to have
Line in on your volume. And I have tried to go to the control panel-sounds,
speech, and audio devices-sounds and audio devices-advanced under device
volume, and see if there is line in. I have also double clicked the icon on
the taskbar, and see if it is there, and it is not( They are the same thing
by the way) so don't tell me to do those things please. But if you can, tell
me to do something to get line in on my computer, even if it involves
downloading something from the interenet.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Have you ever thought your sound card does not have a line in jack.
Typically the 1/8" mini jacks are color coded for sound cards and the color
for line-in is typically black. You /may/ need to purchase a sound card that
supports a line-in feature.

What is the model of your Sound Card? If the sound card is integrated with
the motherboard then what is the model of your motherboard?
