Limited virtual memory

I have a virtual memory problem with Windows XP and the error message tells
me to fix the problem changing the virtual memory by entering an initial and
maximum page size. I have entered these settings as 768 MB initial and 1536
MB max and the total paging file size for all drives is
min allowed - 2MB
recommended - 766 MB
currently allocated - 0 MB

The problem has continued to occur for several months, seriously affecting
the ability to view and edit videos, and possibly resulting in very slow
computer performance.

Any Norton/Symantec products installed? Otherwise you may want to read:

Yes, I have Norton Internet Security 2006, and the issue may have started
about the same time that I installed this product.

How do I rectify the issue?

This is my general advice: Uninstall all Norton software.
Deactivating Norton is not sufficient in most cases.

What type of virus program do you suggest? I just downloaded a new version of
Norton & am getting the "low virtual memory" message. I was thinking of
adding RAM.
