Limited Virtual Memory

Before desktop loads I get this error message: "Your
system has no paging file, or the paging file is too
small....1)Right click my computer, click properties, &
then click Advance tab. 2)click on the Performance
button. Under Drive, select what you want. 3) To create a
new paging file, click the initial size (MB) box, & then
type a paging file size.....Or) To increase the paging
file size, click th maximum size (MB) box, & then type a
larger paging file size. Click set, & then ok.
I have done this and so has a number of other people tried.

After doing all of this, & then restarting nothing has
change and the same error message comes back. Total paging
file remains at 20MB.

I also use AutoCad., Excel and so on. I'm using Windows
2000 5.00.2.. Serv pack 3, & have 37 GB RAM
hard drive and Ram is at 515,568 KB RAM

As I work in Auto Cad other messages appear like:
Windows-Virtual Memory Minimum To Low....System is low on
virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your
virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory
request for some applications may be denied.

Thanks

Also, make sure that you have enough space on the drive for the paging file.

Make sure that the System account (NT Authority) has full control of the
%systemdrive% and the drive your trying to put the pagefile on. My
Computer|Drive|File|Properties|Security|Permissions

Also you'll want to make any pagefile changes through Control Panel|System,
not through Computer
Management.
