Limited Account access to second hard drive

I have setup my old computer with XP Home for my Dad. The computer has 2 hard
drives in it. I would prefer to make his account a "Limited Account" but he
then know longer has access to the 2nd hard drive. Is there something that I
can do to make it available with his account set a "Limited."

You need to set the permissions for the second drive to allow access for his
account.
Are you using XP Pro or XP home? The method used for setting permissions is
different for each.

This is on a XP Home machine. I have read that I should drag the folder into
the Shared folder. Is this what you were going to suggest? Will this then
copy files from the D Drive to the C Drive or just setup permissions?

Hi Kevin,

That should give access, or you can boot to safe mode and log into the
Administrator account to assign permissions to the drive. Add his username
by clicking on the security tab for the drive and give him read/write access
to the drive
