Hi,

I created a roaming profile for our users and its working
fine. My question is are there any setting in AD to limit
users to login in one computer at a time so they don't
lose anything they save on their desktop?

thanks

The reskit supplement one has cconnect, which is designed to do that. See tip
3277 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com, or the short link,
http://www.jsiinc.com/asp/reghacks.asp?tipnumb=3277, for the list of tools
included.
A less reliuable alternative is tip 296.

Profile syncing is supposedly improved more since the NT4 days. This means
that you can be logged on to multiple machines and at log off everything
is synchronised back to the server share holding the roaming profile.so if
you are logged on to say 3 machines PC1/2/3 and you make a shortcut on the
desktop on PC1, delete a shortcut on another PC2 and change the contents
of a file in "my documents" on PC3. at logoff from PC1 the new shortcut
will be sync'd to the roaming profile, at logoff from PC2 the other
shortcut will be deleted and the file edited will be replaced with the
modified version at logoff from PC3.
