Automating deletion of cookies and Java cache

Troubleshooting slow domain logins for Windows XP Pro users with
roaming profiles (hangs for 1-5 minutes on "Loading/Applying personal
settings". The AD domain controllers are Win2K Server.

Is there a way to script or automate deletion of cookies and the Java
cache from the roaming profiles? I noticed in particularly large
profile folders (50-60MB) that these consistuted 90% of what was being
loaded every time a user logs in. When I cleared these folders on the
server, the time to login decreased noticeably (shaved off 30 sec).

I would like to automate this so that it happens each time a user logs
off a workstation. There may be other temp data we could clear too.
Any suggestions, caveats? Difficulty?

Thanks,

Hi,

There is a known issue with roaming user profiles and encryption, are
you servers where the roaming profiles store using encryption if they
are I not sure its possible.

Also, I would check that the users machines were using the DNS of the
server/site where their roaming profiles are stored.

Usually slow logons are caused by incorrect DNS settings.
