Why does this happen on an almost daily basis? I get a solution from Vista
Update to install the latest software which I have done many times with no
results?
Here is what I get from The problem application and system log.

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for this but I can tell you that you
are not alone. Microsoft either has a problem with the driver for this or
they are having an issue with the software and this problem is not specific
to Vista either as XP users are complaining as well.

A Goggle search on LifeCam Crashes turned up numerous sites with posts about
this issue. Something you might be able to try, if you don't really need
their extra software and the camera can be installed with the driver only,
try that. Sometimes the problem isn't the driver but the additional
software which is often unnecessary, rather it simply provides a convenient
way to access certain functions.
