License Manager - Win2000 Server

Some time ago we had added a new Win2000 Server to our
domain and upgraded our original NT4 Server to Win2000
Server. We then added a second Win2000 Server and retired
the original.
After demoting and removing the original server, the
license manager stops responding when trying to correct or
add licensing info.

App Event ID 213 Warning: Replication of license
information failed because the License Logging Service on
server "old server name" could not be contacted.

We've already tried reset per arcticle MKBA 153140.
Is there a registry key that can be changed?

Please help to correct this problem.

Evidentally, there was a mixup in Per Seat vs. Per Server
Licensing. Still not sure how to correct.
