LG DVD-ROM DRD8120B in Win2000 => no success anymore.

ciao,

I'm having LG DVD-ROM DRD8120B in Win2000, have worked
fine since I tried to install one DVD player. Installation
didn't succeed and after it DVD-ROM didn't anymore started
as DVD, but as CD-ROM. (i.e. it reads/plays CDs, but
doesn't play DVDs anymore ;-(

I tried to reboot and install the driver again, no
success. Win automatically installs somehow wrong driver
to my DVD-ROM. in Driver Detailes you can see, that the
actual files, the driver is using is exatcly same than
with my CR-RW drive. Thought Win is telling that DRD8120B
driver is installed. Strange?

I've looked for LG DRD8120B (and also other vendor)
drivers for win2k round the web, but no hit. Vendors
always tell "win2k automatically detects this driver".
I've also managed to get some dvd-rom drivers, but win
either doesn't accept those files (.inf files) or it
installs drivers (or just saying it) but nothing
changes...still using wrong files.

So sad, - please help me gurus!
