Lexmark Z23 Driver

I've got a Lexmark Z23 printer that stopped working after I upgraded to
Mac OSX 4.0. Does anyone know if Lexmark plans to offer a new driver to
fix this problem? Does someone else offer a driver that will work with
the Z23 & 10.4?

urgh, buy a new printer! :O) Seriously, we had a z23 (free with
computer), used it a couple of times, boxed it back up, gave it to
daughter, she used it once, boxed it back up and for some reason it's
back here again, gathering dust somewhere. Nasty bit of kit.

It actually worked quite well until the OS upgrade. I got mine free
too; the problem is that I have unused ink that I can't use now. I
hooked up another free printer, an Epson, and it works fine, but I had
to download Gimpprintdrivers to get it to work with OS4.

Yeah, i don't know much about Macs but my windows machine hated the
Lexmark. I was just faced with a similar ink situation with an old
Canon. It started going very very wrong and I had just bought a set of
three refills for each cart. Basically I wasted two out of three of
each one trying to get it going again :O)

My son's Epson, a 64 I think, wouldn't work on his machine through
either serial or usb, and he runs XP pro on a very fast machine. I
brought the printer down , plugged it into my XP home edition slower
machine and pop, it printed like a dream.
