Lexmark X83 Driver for Server .net 2003

Does anyone know if the XP driver will work on server .net
2003. I have a beta copy of 2003 but can not get the XP
driver for the lexmark X83 to work. The driver loads OK
but the software says the printer is not connected.
Thoughts?
 
You're a bit out of date with that version of Server. Does it work on the
released version? Many vendors do NOT support Betas.

The best anyone can say is that XP drivers MIGHT work on Server, but there
is no guarantee.
