Lexmark X63 & WindowsXP

I just got a computer with windowsXp on it and now my printer wont
work....something about not in Microsofts ???? It worked with Windows
98se.........just fine.....I have tried to get ahold of Lexmark and no one
is responding to my emails..........any help would be appreciated I have a
college student and high school who need the printer....LOL...Please tell
me they are compatible.........?? thanks for any help given...........I
have uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it.....wont work........

Go to the following link to download the current XP drivers for your
printer:

Be sure to take note of the installation instructions. If those drivers do
not resolve the issue, contact Lexmark tech support by phone as this is
their issue.

Hey thanks for all the info. unfortunately it hasnt helped at all.....my
lexmark x63 is a printer /fax /scanner & copier I can get the scanner to
work to scan to email/folder etc but none of the others will work.....so I
am off to bombarge lexmark with lots of questions...and of course they have
quit making this particular printer.....and my warranty just ran
out..........figures.huh? LOL

I'm really sorry. When I ventured to the Lexmark site for the driver
information I did see what type of machine you had. Since they are still
supplying drivers for it, it would appear that they are at least continuing
to support that machine. Perhaps they'll have some idea of why the updated
drivers didn't solve the problem for you.

Lexmark should have a web site, maybe "lexmark.com". Look for "driver
updates" to see if they have one for XP for your model printer that can be
downloaded & installed (should be free). I had same problem w/ an Epson
scanner when I changed from Win 98se to XP PRO.

I'm running XP and X63 I had some problems too I did update the driver and
it seems ok now. If you run into problems start fresh with a clean install.
Make sure all remnants are removed before reinstalling the drivers.
