Unfortunatly we have some really crappy programs that we have to use and
they cause W2K and XP to crash at least a few times a week. A lot of times
there are a lost indexes and things on the hard drive that need to be
repaired.

Is there a way to allow Power Users to run a CHKDSK so I don't have to drop
everything to run it for the user?

Jordan,

Crashes can cause data corruption which cannot be repaired by CHKDSK.
The user might not notice this initially but in the long run this is not the
proper way of working.

Better try to:
1. Contact the program manufacturer / sales rep. for help,
2. Google for help
3. Try WinXP compatibility modes.

Yes, it would be wonderful if everyone wrote their programs they way they
should and it would also be nice if sales reps were not such weasle and did
not disappear right after they got the check. Unfortunatly, people do write
junk and sales reps pretend to have a lot of pull when they are selling you
the stuff, but one you have purchased the item there is nothing that any
sales rep can do for you in any company that I have seen and good luck
gettting a programmer on the line.

Still, if anyone has the answer or some slick trick I can use to be albe to
let non-administrators run CHKDSK I would appreciate it.
