Length of edited movie

My AVI is 1h33m. I want DVD quality so I edited the movie to ~43m, this
includes titles, transitions, etc. When I save the movie (best quality for
pc...) It appears as if the length of the movie is still 1h33m. The timeline
shows 43m. The only way I can save to DVD is by reducing the quality. This
doesn't make sense. My video is only 43m. Waht can I do?

perhaps you have something sitting in the audio or title tracks out there at
1:33 that you didn't delete and do not realize it?
