lcd projector

i got a lcd projector recently and wanted to connect it to my laptop.
The thing is i do get the background of windows but not the icons and start
and nething else.

Somebody know what to do?

Can you drag something from the laptop screen to the lcd screen? It sounds
like it is using it as a second monitor. Usually there is a key on the
laptop labled "FN" and one of the "F" keys (F5 maybe) will be labled
"LCD/CRT". Hold down the "FN" key and toggle the "LCD/CRT" key. There may
also be a setting in the "Advanced" section of your video driver, you want
to "clone" the displays. HTH.
