Starting Slide Show Program?

I have a laptop attached to an LCD projector. I made up 2 practice slides.
How do I start the program so the slides are projected thru the LCD projector
and on to the screen? I have a rather long presentation ready to "Package
for CD" but I want to learn how to operate everything with a couple of
practice slides. I am currently in PowerPoint 2003, not Power Point viewer.
