I want my hyperlinks to .pdf, .xls, .doc files to launch in a new window but not a new Internet Explorer window. For example when I click on a link to a .pdf file I want Adobe Acrobat to launch on its own, not within Internet Explorer.

Any Ideas?

You can't control this, especially with Office apps, as it depends on the
user's browser settings. With my version of Adobe Reader, it loads document
in it own window.
