latest critical updates

Hi,
Ever since my computer downloaded the lastest critical
updates, it is not running right, I had it on to
automaticaly download, and it did, would it be better to
remove them and do them one at a time, or is this
possible. have been really getting the black screen with
all kinds of things on it, but finally got it up and
running, but didn't have this problem before those last
set of critical updates.
Thank you for your time
Bonnie

Nobody knows what "the black screen with all kinds of things on it" is
and if it's "up and running" then what's the problem?

As far as applying one update at a time, yes you can by setting the
system to either notify you of updates or download and inform you before
installing them rather than automatically downloading and installing
them. Actually reading the information on your screen helps. If you read
the information you'll answer your own questions.

Thanks for the snotty answer, but anyone with any since
would know what I was talking about, it is like the blue
screen of death that everyone has asked about on here, and
to write down all it says is next to impossible, and my
machine is working now, but it wasn't, it was after I got
it up and running that I sent this message in. Maybe you
should go to charm school or something!!!!

His response was reasonable Bonnie. You can't expect someone to help if
you don't provide the information. Recording the exact text of messages
is _critical_ in troubleshooting, and saying "...black screen with
all kinds of things on it..." does not provide any relavant information.
He also did try to answer your question and gave a reasonable
response. The problem lies with you.

Oh, my apologies, but my magic 8-Ball said "Outlook Hazy" and I forgot
to renew my mind-reading license.

Now tell us, was it a "black screen with all kinds of things on it" or
was it "the blue screen of death that everyone has asked about on here"?
Was it black or was it blue? That difference alone ought to narrow it
down to something like a couple or three hundred possibilities if we're
lucky.

As far as being snotty goes, mind your own nose. Maybe you should go
back to high school and learn to take accurate and complete notes. Oh
no! I forgot! "To write down all it says is next to impossible". Want
accurate and complete help? Supply accurate and complete information.

I am glad you got your machine working. Care to share the details about
the problem and solution so that others might learn and benefit? Ooops!
Sorry, I forgot again, "To write down all it says is next to impossible"...

Nevermind.

Steve

P.S. I'll bet you didn't even notice that I actually did answer the one
answerable question that you asked. You're welcome.
