laser mouse 6000 and imbedded links

I am using the laser mouse 6000 and found that recently I am having problems
opening links sent to me in emails. I have not installed anything that would
cause this, but do have automatic updateds running on XP Pro and am connected
to the internet on a cable modem.

Specifically, I win an item on eBay. eBay sends me the email with the PAY
NOW option, but when I click it my MY DOCUMENTS/User (in this case the file
name is Mike) file opens. The same thing happens when I try to click on the
link in the email used to view the item I won, and I am finding other
problems not related to ebay (can not open other links sent.) I am using
outlook express.

HELP!

I don't believe this has anything to do with your mouse. See this page
by MVP Frank Saunders (assuming you are using Outlook Express):

This issue has come up regularly in these newsgroups lately and when it
does, PA Bear always asks if the OP is running IE7 - which is *beta*
(not finished and still in the bug-checking phase).

If you are running IE7, then first do a Google Groups Advanced Search
and look for the issue in this newsgroup:

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you are running IE7 and still have questions, post in that newsgroup.
