large icons

my sister recently did something to the computer to make everything seem
extra large. she doesnt know what she did and neither do i. the text isnt
anybigger, its just everything else.
ive tried to go to properties to change it but that didnt do anything.
i dont know what else to do.

Is this only the desktop icons? If so, click Start, go to Control Panel, and
choose Display. The Display Properties comes up. Go to the Appearance tab,
and click the Effects button. A new dialog will pop up. Uncheck "Use large
icons". Hit Ok, then Apply on the Display Properties dialog and then Ok.

the box wasnt checked, so i couldnt do anything but thanks for trying.

Also check display..Settings tab..advanced button..make sure under DPI
settings it's set to normal (96dpi).

Icons - Change Size

This setting will let you resize them to suit your desktop preference. Go
to: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
Value Name: Shell Icon Size
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data: Size in Pixels (Default = 32)

Create a new value named 'Shell Icon Size' and set the value, or modify the
existing value, to equal the size of your icons in pixels. Smaller values =
smaller icons!
