Large file size

Hello.

I am using Access 97. The database I've created seems
EXTREMELY large -- 246MB! The database mainly has a few
queries and forms but they consist of A LOT of coding.

Not much data has been entered into the database yet, just
a bunch of bound object frames, but they are LINKS to
pictures. I figured that since the pictures were linked,
rather than imported, they would not have a drastic affect
on the database file size. Is this not the case??

Please explain any possible causes.

Thanks. :)

Wow! I looked up how to compact it and the size shunk to
23MB! That was easy. Thank-you so much!

Linking to the pictures is the correct method but have you been compacting
your database regularly?
