I just recently upgraded my laptop's hard drive from a 60GB to a 100 GB, and
everything went fine, but I noticed today that the amount of ram that the
laptop uses for video went from 128MB (which it had before the hard drive
change) to 8MB, is there a way to change it back to 128 or maybe higher?

That option is usually accessible only from the BIOS setup program.
Read the manual that came with your laptop to see if it has to be
changed via the BIOS setup program or from another utility that was
installed by the laptop maker.

That's normally a function of your BIOS. Go into your BIOS setup screens and
change it thre.

Three's no reason why it should change when you change hard drives, though.
One has nothing to do with the other.

I looked in the manual, and found nothing about video ram, I've seen a few
things on the internet where people can modify the video ram in the BIOS,
but my BIOS setting for video ram don't seem changable.
my laptop is a dell inspiron B130, 1152MB, and a 1.8GHz processor, running
Windows XP Pro with SP2 if this helps.
thank you in advance

Dear Jason, how could you read the amount of your video RAM?

Another question, did you change the screen resolution, or the number
of colors, of your PC, using the Desktop's Properties Settings?

I used the DxDiag command to see how much video ram I have. Also I did not
change either my screen res, or my number of colors.
