Windows XP laptop software

hi i'm new on here i'm looking for some software for my laptop. i work in my local club which has a projector screen and various tvs. i use my laptop to put peoples pics on but at the mo i only set them as a desktop pic i'm trying to find a program that i can run pics vids and various other things can any one help? i do have windows media player but i'm looking for something a bit more advanced.
 
MS PowerPoint is the one that springs to mind or if you don't want to fork out cash take a look at Open Office, I'm sure it has it's own version of a program similar to Powerpoint and it's free.
 
i thought of that but i'd like to put visuals up on screen too my friend has an apple mac he has a program called flash player or something just has a few more options on it thanks any way
 
you could use something like windows movie maker or a similar program to make a video out of them
 
the projector shows only what you see on your monitor, i mean for slideshow you can use any of imageviewing progs, even windows one. for playing video use a standart video player for example windows one.
 
Not nessacerally, i can drag windows between my monitor and tv if i wish using 'dual view'. Just drag the window right or left. ;)
