Laptop Shut-down

My Toshiba Laptop (Model Satellite 1410-801) shuts down by itself an
will not reboot until I remove the battery and re-install it.......The
it is ok for another 24 hours etc....Can anyone help pleas

remove the battery and use
the powercord instead then report back

Thanks DatabaseBen....Unfortunately the laptop in question is in my
apartment in the Canaries so I wont be able to follow your advise until
I return there. I will put you on my Buddy List if thats ok and contact
