I have recently purchased an Advent 7081 Laptop and am running Windows XP.
Is there any way I can close the laptop screen without the computer going
into Hibernation mode, and contiue running normally?

I belive there is a 'switch' that is triggered when you close the lid.
Its by design

Look in your power management software for options. Please be aware that
many a laptop has burned out because someone left it running with a
closed lid and put the laptop into a laptop case.

hi.... my laptop screen is not bright enough to see ... during daylight and
with help of other lights.. when I put dem straight on screen I can see
everthing but at dark place its impossilbe to see. Is there anyone who can
help me with this...

If following the laptop User guide instructions to adjust brightness
does not work, the backlight is likely dead. Take it to the shop for repair.
