Laptop Screen Goes to Dim

Hi,

I have an Averatec 3150H and all is fine with the exception of the laptop
screen. I have loaded every available update and check the hardware, but
still find that if I use Fn+F8 to increase the brightness of the screen, in
goes on to dim.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

I just downloaded/read the manual, FN+F7 Increases the brightness.

Try using the other key combinations from wherever you got that one until you
find the one that increases the brightness. They have probably been mixed up
or have been reported incorrectly.

Try looking in control panel at Power Options ,, I set mine to start at mid
brightness.

I set mine to start at the lowest brightness, however, when I want to
increase the brightness, the screens goes totally dark. You can still make
out (just) what is on the screen to shut down properly and restart, but once
the screen goes dark no matter what key combinations are used or shutting and
opening the panel brings to screen back to normal brightness.

Any ideas?
