I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop ( 2435-s255) which I
use continuously in my work. The problem is that it has
overheated to the point where it automatically "shuts
down".

The problem began several months ago but it is becoming
more frequent.

If there is a temp setting or ??? please email me
Thanks

It's probably time to have it cleaned internally and have the fan checked.

I had problem with my IBM getting so hot is was hard to hold on my
lap. I now have a cooling pad. It's a small metel stand with three
fans to keep the laptop cool. It works great on the lap or table top.
