How using "wireless antenna"?

Hello all:

I have a Laptop "Toshiba Satellite 2435-S255".
I used to access Internet with a cable to connect
the NIC and cable-modem.

Now I want to access the Internet with wireless
connection. The leftside of laptop has "wireless
antenna", how to use it? Do I still need
to buy a wireless network adapter such as
"D-Link DWL-650"?

you need an accesspoint connected to the internet to use
the wifi for internet.
