Laptop mouse button malfunction

Dell Latitude d505 laptop.

both mouse buttons function identically as the left mouse button.

i.e. no right click, just two left clicks.

any ideas?????

Oh so it's a touchpad? Did you try uninstalling it in Device Manager and
rebooting. Or checking for updated drivers from the notebook manufacturer's
website?
