XP Desktop Rotated 90 Deg.

I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue, but I have a remote office XP user
that reports his desktop is rotated 90 deg. (ccw). It started this morning
for no apparent reason after working properly prior to shutting down (Dell
D505 Laptop). Upon restart, the desktop is rotated and the mouse is also
operating on a different axis. Using the "Last Known Good Configuration"
didn't help and I doubt he has any restore points.

Has anyone else seen this?

TIA

No good on the CTRL+UpArrow or CTRL+ALT+UpArrow (or down arrow). Also, this
particular video adapter didn't have a Rotate (or similar) tab. So, I got
out the 10# sledgehammer and deleted the display adapter from the Device
Manager. Upon restart, the adapter was detected, reinstalled and the display
was back to normal.

Good Times.......
