Hi,
I d like to have inputs on if working with a desktop-laptop pair is a good
idea Vs working only with a laptop. That is having a desktop at office and
a laptop for working at home and outside Vs working on laptop at office too.
Points of concern.
1. Keeping the data in sync between the two systems. That is, my files and
also PIM info from the Outlook and my PDA.
2. Impact on the battery life in the laptop if I keep it on charge while I
work through the day. Or loss in charge/discharge cycles while I work in
the office.
While using only laptop saves me the data sync problem, am concerned about
the battery cost. Is using offline files sync feature in XP Prof efficient
enough for daily use?
The performance of the laptop is sufficient for me at all times.
Any inputs please?
Thank you.
