lap tops

i recently bought a lap top and i have a big problem after the kids played
on it!
here it is:: every time i turn it on it starts to boot up (i can hear
it)after a few seconds the sreen reads checking files press any key to skip
(which i do) then another command appears witch says press f2 to
configure(this happens all the time)i have no other option to press f2 if i
dont and continue the booting up finishes then i end up with a blank (blue
screen)and nothing happens.
after pressing f2 it says start the computer (in a various array of modes )
ive started it in all modes .It then starts up but when i finally get it
going it s slow/very limited options/and freezes most of the time .
i got no cds with it or any manuels with it WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

Tkae it back to the company you bought it from and have them reconfigure the
BIOS to the correct settings.
No offence but you do not seem to have the know how to do this.
