PBR Failed to load

When i rebooted my pc, the following sreen came up.

Loading PBR for discription 2 ............ Failed

Some times it gives me the option F1 Reeboot or F2 System Setup.
If i reboot i get the same thing, and sometimes its says Disk Read Error.

Your advise would be apprecated

P(artition) B(oot) R(ecord). The drive's Partition table may be
damaged or corrupted. XP Recovery console has command
"FixMBR". However, it isn't a 100% fix and may result in the
drive/volumes becoming unrecoverable. Hopefully you have
your Personal Data backed up.

I'd use mbrworks, freeware from www.terabyteunlimited.com, it may be able to
recover the corrupt partition table.
