Sorry if this ends up being a duplicate posting - I thought I had
posted it a day or two ago but it has never shown up.
This is a question for someone who has used the Canon i9900 although I
am also curious about other similar larger format printers. I have
downloaded and looked through the i9900 manual and cannot determine
whether it is possible to load A4 or letter size paper in landscape
orientation (long edge first) so that it is printed with the printhead
travelling paralllel to the long dimension of the paper. (I am
referirng to the actual paper orientaition in the printer - not how the
image is oriented with respect to the paper) I see that it is
recommended to load 4x6 in portait orientation but no other sizes are
mentioned.
Also, for the i9900, are there "custom" paper size settings that are
completely flexible to allow what is described above or are they tied
closely to paper sizes sold by Canon? And what is the longest length of
paper that can be set in "custom" settings for paper size?
