Language Packs message

R

Roderick O'Regan

Ocasionally, on receiving emails from senders in the UK, using an
english version of Outlook I have the following message box appear on
my screen:
Title: Language pack installation
Text: To display language characters correctly you need to install the
following language pack:
Japanese

Is this a factor of my system or something set on the sender's
Outlook?

Either way, is there a method of fixng this, please?

Please note that none of us are expecting to use, nor communicate in,
Japanese.

Regards

Roderick

Roderick:

I am currently searching for an answer to the EXACT same issue for a user on
my email system. My researches have pointed towards IE's "install on demand"
feature being a possible source (MS KB #222639), but then purportedly this
issue only affects IE itself, and this feature is no longer auto-enabled in
IE 6.0 on WIN XP. I know that there is some sort of tie-in between the 2
applications, as there is with WORD, when it comes to displaying HTML
formatted messages; perhaps some corrupted data got created when a message
was sent out that prompts the behavior.

Has anyone else experienced this coming from OUTLOOK? Thanks in advance for
your help.
