Language display in Status Bar

Word 2003 used to display the language used in the status bar. This has now
disappeared. How do I get it back?

If you are saying the status bar no longer shows the language, I'm afraid I
can't help, but if you are saying the status bar itself is not displayed,
....

Select Tools > Options > View (tab)
In the "Show" section at the top, make sure "Status Bar" is checked

Thanks, but I do mean that the language button does not appear - the status
bar is visible.
