Language Bar Tray Icon

I've made the mistake of enabling multiple languages on Windows 2000 now
that I'm back to my native language (English US) the language bar tray icon
still resides on the tray. Nothing I've done will make it go away.
Essentially it sits there taking up realestate and since I've enabled only
one language there is no way I can change the language for applications. How
can I get this tray icon to go away?

Thank you,
Dan

Simple: Control Panel / Keyboard / Enable keyboard indicator on taskbar.
I actually got this one by clicking Start / Help / Search tab / type
"keyboard".
I then read what it said against "Add an input locale and keyboard layout".
There is a lot of help in Windows Help!

It is called internat.exe. You will see it in the registry at this location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Another way to get rid of it is double-click the icon in the Control Panel called Text Services if you have it. Do that and it will never appear again and in fact you will not be able to ever get it to appear again. It breaks it.

Or do as Pegasus says. Remove the indicator from apppearing in the System Tray.
