Language availability for Microsoft software outside of the US

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to purchase Microsoft software
(particularly Windows XP Pro) in English outisede of the US. Currently I am
in Italy and microsoft.com does not let me buy online while stores carrie
only Italian versions fo the software.

Yes you can buy from one of the many UK or US online stores on the Internet.
Most will ship internationally.
You will need to consider the exchange rates for US/Euro and Pound/Euro as
well as shipping fees and possible import duty or other taxes you may have
to pay.

Thank you for your reply. The problem is that it seems I am having a hard
time finding an online store that ships to Europe from the US (UK stores are
prohibitively expensive because of the exchange rate). Do you know of a good
one?

hardware. I am sure that wherever the OP buys Italian versions, he can also
order an English version through them.

Ask the stores that carry Italain versions to order you an English version.

There is also no requirement on an reseller in Italy (or any other country)
to offer or take orders for non local language products.
Maybe you would like to actually help the poster by providing him details of
where he may purchase an English copy online in the EU - may be at the same
place you got yours.

Are you aware of the fact that it is almost impossible to find a full (not
update) retail version in Spain?

I don't know of any online places to by XP Pro in the EU. I went in person
to buy mine. If I were the OP, I would ask the stores where he lives if they
can order one for him even though they aren't "required" to. They might do
it to make some money and do a little positive PR.
