Language all messed up

Hi can someone please help? While I was downloading my e-
mail my sytem crashed. So when I re started my system all
the writing turned into symbols. I cant read a thing and
don't know how to get it back to letters. I even ran
Norton and it found no viruses. Any help would be great

go into safe mode and use system restore to before it happened
