Opera messed me up

B

Brett Holden

Hello, All!
After installing the Opera browser as my default web browser I decided that
it was not all it was cracked up to be. I uninstalled it.

Now, my IE works fine for most browsing, but if I click hyperlinks imbedded
in email (I use OE) nothing happens. Some of the hyperlinks in my favorites
menu also do not function.

I went through the process of resetting HTM, HTML, etc. file association in
Windows Explorer(> Tools> Folder Options> File Types) - or at least I think
I got them all.

I even re-installed IE6. It's been several years since my last Win2000 OS
load, and I am planning on re-imaging my sytem next month - but I don't want
to do it right away. Anyway, knowing of a fix would be good for future
reference.

I haven't kept my recovery disks up-to-date, so that's not an option.

Help, PLEASE!

With best regards, Brett Holden. E-mail: (e-mail address removed)

Did you try <Start Menu> <Set Program Access and Defaults> ?

Thanks, Sid. It took me a few minutes of research - Program Access and
Defaults is actually in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
That did the trick!

Ah .... I have a link on the start menu (as well). I assumed it was
common. Probably I should have given the path that you found.

Glad to hear it fixed the problem anyway.
