I dont know about you, but i feel like i should take a trip to Japan....
I have always wanted a go, but not as a vacation, more or less a cultural experience. I think its calling me :p
What about you folks? You interested in Japan?

Russia is HUGE. I can't beleive how big it is.

I'd love to go to Japan too - it's just so different to the culture over here :) Probably #1 on my list too :nod:

one of my far side aunts, came from Japan... she doesnt go there very often, but her and he husband are thinking of going. I asked them if i could tag along, they didnt mind :D
now all that remains is setting it up... thats the hard part
also if i do go, i would be lost- i dont speak a lick of japanese :p

are you folks frequent travelers?

Took the Trans Siberian Railway from Moscow to Irkutsk ( just north of Mongolia at Lake Baikal) and found I was a little over half way to Vladivostock !!!!! My journey had lasted four days and the onward trip was another three !! Russia is ENORMOUS and so interesting as you get further east. Often saw horse drawn ploughing of fields and in many places no proper roads, only mud tracks.

Most people, of course, only visit Western Russia but even that is very DIFFERENT. Give it a try - the people are incredibly friendly.
