LAN: XP Pro and XP Home compability problems.

I use a home network with 2 systems.

System 1 = XP Pro
System 2 = XP Home

System 1 Can ping system 2 (100% Perfect)
System 2 Cannot ping system 1 (100% loss)

I have configured both for "Simple File & Printer".
Both use the same workgroup and have unique names.

I get the "You may not have permission" message when trying to browse the
"computers on your network" and after searching for about two seconds I found
meny people have the same problem.

As I stated above I am not using a domain with System 1 but the standard
Workgroup setup and although file and printer sharing does not work the main
reason for wanting the two systems to communicate is for LAN gaming.

There is no firewall issues and System 1 can join games hosted by System 2
but not the other way around.

Both systems have the "Enable NET BIOS over TCP etc" enabled.

Both systems have "computer browser" running as seen through "My
Computer/Manage/Services & Apps/Services/computer browser".

Both systems have the generic "guest" account running.

Sorry if this post is a little rambling but in a word HELP, I am starting to
tear my hair out with this I have not been able to have LAN's with my friends
in over a month.

I use a NETGEAR DG834 modem/firewall/hub with firmware v1.05.

Full LAN Access has been enables and prior to the current setup I had no
problems when connecting up to 4 XP Home based systems using the workgroup
settings.
