Well, Messenger would work -- although you'd still need internet access the actual voice
portion goes peer-to-peer and wouldn't leave your network.
Could also use things like Ventrilo and similar.

Most certainly and unlike voice/video, there is no relay when the direct RA connection fails.

With TeamSpeak you can manage different "rooms", password protection of the
server and rooms, adjustment of quality/bandwidth through different codecs.
It will work in LAN and through Internet.
There are server-versions for windows and linux and clients for windows,
linux and mac os x (unofficial).
It appears that WLM/WM provides sort of dynamic DNS service. So all
activities only except signing on are peer-to-peer. Correct?
