Lan Slow With Win Xp Pro

I am finding that some of our Win XP pro workstations are
really slow to log
on to our win2k domain controller. Removing and re-adding
to the domain does
not seem to help at all. The problem seems randomly
distributed amongst the
machines, some do it, others don't. Any ideas anyone???

More details on your topology would be useful and other pertinent
environmental data.

Quick notes check 1) NIC is running in 1/2 duplex mode, 2) firewall or
antivirus filtering, 3) protocols all have impact impact on copies
