XP pro machines keep losing connectivity over the network

our network consists of a win2k advanced server with all workstations having
win2k pro. we recently added 8 win xp pro machines to our domain.

we are facing a huge problem. if the user leaves the machine idle for over
15-20 minutes, he/she loses connectivity over the network. then we have to
restart the machine to connect over the network. this happens only with the
winxp pro machines.

please advice me on how to sort this out cos this is a major issue now.

Check the power saving settings in Control Panel and make sure the PC isn't
going into standby mode or shutting down the hard drive.
