Hi,
We have a new office which has a WAN / intersite link. I have placed a w2k server at either end of the link to act as a network router. Our current site has a 172.8.x.x ip range and the new site will have a 172.6.x.x ip range.

No matter what routes I put in or how I set this up I cannot get the 2 networks to see wach other. The link is ok and the 2 routing machines can ping each other.

The route seemed simple as I only needed the 2 subnets to talk to each other.

My question is which gateway should I be using? The routing machine on either side of the link?

I have searched everywhere but the only help for routing seems to be VPN or dial in related.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Ah, I have now removed one of the w2s servers and am using 1 w2k server. I have cleared all the routes and can communicate 1 way accross the network but it fails going in the opersite direction. I have run a trace route and it stops at the w2k servers gateway address.
