lag with xbox360 games

I use the Windows Media Center to watch TV on my computer and it works great,
but since I have upgraded to Vista I have been having lag issues when I plug
in my Xbox360 and try to play a game on my pc. For example, when I press a
button there is a 2 second delay until that action takes place. Is there
anyway to get rid of this besides pluggin my Xbox into a regular TV?

Windows Media Center is like a DVR it lets you pause, rewind, fast forward
recorded programming. The time it takes to digitize the video/audio from
your cable box or in this case, XBOX, is about 1-3 seconds.

You cannot game this way.

You might be able to find a program for your computer that simply dumps
video to a window through your TV Tuner card, that should get the delay down
a bit, but you'll still notice a slight delay.

So to answer your question, you have to plug your XBox into your TV. You
can't run a video game through a post processor or a DVR like Windows Media
Center, Tivo, etc.

Welcome to the digital age.

I have an old DELL monitor that has component inputs as well as VGA inputs,
I use that with my 360, you can display one or the other, but not both at
the same time.
