Lag from keyboard to screen

Let me try this again. I can type a whole sentence before it appears on the
screen. I've spybotted, adawared, PCdoctored, system suite-ed, emptied all
temp folders, uninstalled all games (etc.), and defragmented to a
fare-thee-well. I've tried Ad-aware in safe mode. I don't know what else to
do. Could a new keyboard help? I'm using the one that came with my Dell 2350.

If you still have the lag from keyboard to screen running in safe mode, it's
likely your keyboard driver software has been compromised.

1. Have you selected "keyboard" from the control panel and looked at the
settings? Verify you are set up for your keyboard type. Look at the driver
under properties.

2. Try the troubleshooting feature. Maybe that can help you.

3. If not and you have your Windows CD handy, you might want to run the
System File Checker. It looks for corrupted system files and will replace
them. Click Start, then Run and type in sfc /scannow. Hit enter to run the
checker. If it needs to restore files, it might request the CD.
I don't know if this will help you, but if you are desperate, it may be
worth a shot.
