Lacie USB 40 GB HD

I've been using the Lacie for the last several years for back up - with no
problems.
Backed up this past Friday in order to reinstall XP Pro on my computer.
Reinstalled the XP Pro on Saturday. Now, when I attempt to use the Lacie, I
receive a message from Windows: Unable to find driver for ATAPI-4 Bridge
Controller. I have installed the software from the Lacie CD. I've looked up
the Micrsoft Knowledge Base topics on the issue - removing the USB Port and
the like all to no avail.

Any suggestion is welcome.
Thanks.

This sounds like a missing motherboard driver. After re-installing
Windows XP, it is usually necessary to re-install the motherboard
chipset drivers, peripheral drivers, video, audio, etc. They are
typically found on the cdroms that came with the motherboard or the
computer.
