L2TP Ports?

K

Ken Y.

All,

What are the ports that are used by L2TP (IP and UDP)? I need to open these ports up on my firewall. I have opened the IPsec ports (IP 50 and UDP 500) and I am still having trouble connecting from the outside. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
this should do it:
L2TP - User Datagram Protocol (UDP) 500, UDP 1701
ESP - Internet Protocol (IP) protocol 50

BUT if you use IPSec with NAT-T extension, you need this
one also :
NAT-T - UDP 4500
Good luck
